Data Deletion Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Data Deletion Policy is to establish guidelines and procedures for the deletion of user data upon request within the DM MDAssist application. This policy ensures compliance with relevant data protection regulations and maintains transparency in handling user data.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all users of the DM MDAssist application who wish to delete their account and have their data removed from our systems.

3. User Data Deletion Procedure

3.1. Request Submission: Users who wish to delete their account and have their data removed from DM MDAssist must submit a formal request via email to diabeteslab.project@gmail.com. The email must include the following information:

  • Email address associated with the account
  • Username
  • Reason for requesting account deletion

3.2. Verification: Upon receiving the deletion request, the designated personnel shall verify the identity of the user to ensure the legitimacy of the request. This may involve additional communication with the user for confirmation purposes.

3.3. Data Review: Once the request is verified, the designated personnel shall review the user’s account and associated data to identify and compile all relevant information for deletion.

3.4. Data Deletion: Following the review process, the identified user data shall be permanently deleted from all applicable systems and databases within a reasonable timeframe. This includes, but is not limited to, personal information, user-generated content, and any other data associated with the user’s account within the DM MDAssist application.

3.5. Confirmation: Upon completion of the deletion process, the user shall be notified via email that their account and associated data have been successfully deleted from DM MDAssist.

4. Compliance

This Data Deletion Policy is designed to comply with applicable data protection laws and regulations, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

5. Policy Review

This policy shall be subject to periodic review and update as necessary to ensure alignment with evolving legal requirements, technological advancements, and organizational needs.
